Like ‘Em Nude? | KKW By Kylie Cosmetics: Review

If you’ve used liquid lipsticks in the past, do you remember what they feel like when you just apply them? The KKW By Kylie Cosmetics is a signature Kim Kardashian West collection of nude shades in the creme formula that essentially is your liquid lipstick’s first swipe on your lips, except it stays like that.

In a couple of my previous posts, I mentioned that I wasn’t a fan of liquid lipsticks, I liked the plumper, creme effect better than a mattifying effect on my lips. The KKW By Kylie Cosmetics is just  what I wanted (I’m so happy I have two 😛 ).

It’s the Goldilocks of all lipsticks. I’m a fan of all shades nude and this pack has all the perfect colours, and just the right texture.

Packaging:

The packaging is a gorgeous muted pink box, that’s silky to hold and it perfectly houses all the shades in individual spaces inside. The entire packaging is lovely, and a slide out compartment was a great idea. Score: 10/10

Kimberly is the perfect beige/ nude with no colour undertones. It goes really well with pretty much every skin tone because it highlights, plumps and gives a very pretty sheen to the lips.

Kim has a peachy undertone, also subtly plumping the lips- I think this ought to be the Miss Congeniality of all the shades in the box

Kiki is for those who want to try pink, but not a very risky pink. It’s perfect to wear with pretty much every outfit and to pretty much every occasion.

Kimmie is a darker, redder pink, I like how this sits on my lips and changes the base tone of the lips, rather than appearing to be a coloured, hyper-pigmented gloss. (which I absolutely despise)

Overall, on a model, the shades look like this:

Stay:

The lipsticks stay for about 2 hours, after which they start to lose the sheen/ pigmentation and completely fade in about 4 hours. If you leave a home with a liquid matte lipstick expectation- you’ll be disappointed. Take your shade for a touch up if you choose to wear one of these.

Overall:

I am officially in love with these colours, and I wish they’re back since they were limited edition. (But to die for). A 6/5 from me.

Price:

INR 6500 if you ship it to India and USD 45 if you’re there!
